As we launch into a new year, we’re starting a new sermon series through the book of Ephesians.  Life is lived out together.  There’s no way around it.  We are relational creatures.  But our primary identity is rooted in our relationship with Jesus.  And so, as Paul begins his letter to the Ephesians, he begins with a string of statements that establish our identity “in Jesus.”  It’s only as we understand who we are in Jesus that we are then able to navigate our relationships with others.  As we begin a new year, start with Jesus.  See who you are in him.
